The Rag Doll

Textile Artistry, Photography
I find our inclination to create forms of ourselves across cultures since 3000-2000 BC intriguing. Dolls were placed in graves and found near ancient remnants, becoming objects we leave behind. I created a version wearing garments inspired by the ocean, eyes modeled after the delicate Emmelina Monodactyla moth, and an interior of lambswool from the Pacific Northwest.
